Last week I attended an audio workshop hosted by d&b audiotechnik in Asheville, NC. Gracious people. SMART people! I thoroughly enjoyed that. And, as a result, I am now a certified d&b audiotechnik technician.
I rigged a T and a Q line array, set up a system file using R1, and studied line array theory. I also got a copy of arraycalc. Its a free download on their website, and though it is product specific, its a very easy to use tool you can use to illustrate coverage - both bad and good if you need to mess a file up on purpose to illustrate your how poorly your current system covers. Just a thought.
Anyway, I wanted to mention again, that after not only hearing plenty enough d&b loudspeakers to know that they are my favorite, now after spending time in an "Electroacoustic" schooling, and a "Line Array Theory" seminar, I'm thoroughly impressed with these cats.
